Tips for encouraging an Active Lifestyle for Children

Today, gadgets become common things among children. In fact, most of their time is spent with their smartphone sitting at home. As parents, we can invite our children to get used to physical activity as a daily activity. Here are some things you can do as a parent to get your child into an active lifestyle:

  1. Start at an early age. Early childhood tends to be active and likes to play. Encourage children to do interesting activities because it can be the first step to building the foundation of an active lifestyle.
  2. Be a role model who provides examples of the application of an active lifestyle.
  3. Make physical activity part of family activities, such as playing sports or playing together
  4. Provide equipment or items that can encourage children to be physically active, for example, sports shoes that he likes.
  5. Give a positive response to each child's achievements and try to give encouragement to try new challenges.
  6. Make physical activity fun. Let the child choose a sport that he likes and don't force the child to pursue one thing if he doesn't like it.
  7. Always pay attention to safety. Equip children with appropriate personal protective equipment and do not allow children to do physical activities alone.

Encouraging an active lifestyle in children can be a foundation that can be given by parents so that their children grow up active and healthy. Choose a sport that suits your preferences and age and give positive encouragement so that your child is always excited.
